About the role

Supports with Integrity is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the Mornington Peninsula, Frankston, and Coburg areas, VIC. This is a casual position that will involve providing personalised care and assistance to our disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide companionship and engage clients in social and recreational activities
  • Support clients in accessing the community and attending appointments
  • Advocate for clients' needs and work collaboratively with other care providers
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

What we're looking for

  • Relevant qualifications in disability support or a similar field
  • Experience working with disabled individuals, preferably in a community-based setting
  • A genuine passion for supporting and empowering others to live independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of clients
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Male Support worker for SIL

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Male Support Worker to join our team at Supports with Integrity in our Hastings SIL (Supported Independent Living Property), VIC. As a casual Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to male adults with disabilities, Mental Health understanding would be beneficial but not a necessity, helping them maintain their independence and live fulfilling lives.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Providing support to clients in a home environment. Engaging them in social activities and outings
  • Monitoring clients' well-being and reporting any changes or concerns to the management team
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans
  • Maintaining accurate client records and documentation

What we're looking for

  • A genuine passion for working with adults and individuals with disabilities
  • Previous experience in a similar caregiving role or relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and empathise with clients
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to providing person-centred care
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required
